@heeheeluck just like the induns being stripped of their own culture just for the better ways of white...it takes time for "them" to really realize what they have done to our culture!

@heeheeluck Now using them for CI experimentation. Funny they knew about respecting different cultures but not Deaf culture? It is so immoral for not respecting human's rights for their Deaf culture values.

Hey Dude, right. It's all about sucky systems, not people. People who think about money target to Deaf Children. It is high profit going to a very small group who created CI's and made ab2072. This is unhealthy and the reason why they made the bill in California is because many Mexican people moved into Sacramento and have no education.

We need to examine the system and practices in place that say - deaf then fix with CI instead of deaf then give ASL. why isnt ASL the first route to go since it is the most natural and fully accessible and NON-invasive

Hey mat - thank u for bringing this up. Your question is VERY valid - where was your right to say "NO" to what is put into your body. Audism Free America has a new vlog out re: a child's right to say NO. its an important topic to discuss. also its important that people know that folks with CI are important and cherished.

@pdurr CI people are part if not big of the community and we need to show our warm welcome to those especially those who "failed" the system. My heart has a place for AFA.
