Original video from 1983: "Mad World" by Tears for Fears. This was the third single from their first album The Hurting.

Audio and video are correct and true to the original, although the video portion has been digitally enhanced. This video was created and uploaded for archival, noncommercial and educational purposes and complies with fair use guidelines for copyrighted material.

This HQ version was digitally remastered and encoded by me, Exiled Stardust.

    Why are all the comments so negitive? If you're not a fan why would you come on just to hate?

    I prefer this version because, not only has it a great dance beat and instrumental but I find that it's sung with more emotion than the Gary Jules version. I feel like this one was a comment on our "mad world" rather than simply a plight to make the most dismal song out, which is all I can hear in Jouls' verion.

    Essa música é uma obra-prima. Uma composição linda em todos os sentidos. Seria tão óbvio fazer uma melodia depressiva a essa canção, devido a letra.. Mas o tears for fears não ficou no óbvio e o tom predominante não é de tristeza, mas de loucura e desespero, mais condizente com a letra, com um ar misterioso e caótico. A versão do Gary é óbvia demais pra mim.
