  • Don't like this one. Sounds too much like Dean Martin or Sinatra. It aint rock'n'roll...

  • yep, Eddie should have stuck to pure rock n roll..you can't blame him for trying crooning though :)

  • Eddie making the transition to night club act. What a versatile guy. He would've been great

    in Vegas.

  • Eddie in Vegas? I never though about it but it could be interesting

  • A giant.Beyond great.

  • Seems to be enjoying himself. Like a duck to water.

Don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing,

  • I have always been a fanatical fan of Eddie's work. I first heard him on Radio Luxembourg singing "Weekend" which knocked me out. I then found a worn-out, very scratched ex-juke box single with no middle of something called "C'MON EVERYBODY', (costing 3d!) I had no idea what to expect when I put it on my record-player. Frankly, I was sort of shocked when I first heard it. I had never heard anything like it. The crackling quality added to the impression that it was something from another world.

  • @albertanglo One of the great things about Eddie; he was an inovator always looking for something different. So I guess he knew the 50s style Rock & Roll was coming to the end. I must admit this sounds very much like he was trying to sing a swing type song, not my favorite but trying something new full marks for that. I personally think he would have been ended up as his friend Gene Vincent only being able to perform his old stuff certainly here in the UK anyway. What do others think?

  • His great Gretsch 6120

  • What a voice! what a great performance! yeah Eddie Cochran really swings, bebop, rock and much more with his Gretsch 6129. He will always be the best! THE PRINCE OF ROCK AND ROLL! Thanks for posting

  • Ya, besides killing the guitar he could have played Vegas Darin style!!!! Rare talent.

  • Gotta be Marty Wilde!! Oh Yes!:))

  • You should check Darrel Higham's version...he transforms this right back to rock and roll...although there's nothing wrong with this one

  • He did it well. He doesn´t sound like Dean Martin or Sinatra. I don´t think so.
