"Blue Christmas"
written by Jay W. Johnson and Billy Haynes
arranged by Mark Stipe
lead & rhythm guitars by Mark Stipe
Although my version was instrumental, here are the lyrics: I'll have a Blue Christmas without you / I'll be so blue thinking about you / Decorations of red on a green Christmas tree / Won't mean a thing if you're not here with me // I'll have a Blue Christmas--that's certain / And when that blue heartache starts hurtin' / You'll be doin' all right, with your Christmas of white / But I'll have a blue, Blue Christmas (I then repeat the melody one more time).
Also, for you guitarists, I played this song in the key of G and the first note is a D note.
I apologize for the fact that the volume level of the backing track is not equal to the lead part. I might do a retake on this video within the next few days, if I have the time.
Thank you very much!

allshookup77: Thanks for the comment, sir! For once, I actually liked the tone I had...doesn't happen too often for me. Anyway, I was kind of mad when I got the video onto my computer and realized the rhythm track was a bit too loud, though I probably won't do this one over...at least not for a year!
Also, I don't think I've actually ever heard Elvis' version, though I have heard that newer version where they added Martina McBride's voice to the track.
Thanks again for watching!
