Very diplomatic of Gorka to call these "good intentions." The "road of ulterior motives" might be more on the mark, but nice of John to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Thanks to everyone who commented, favorited, rated, linked the video. I'm glad it had such an effect on people. The song and this war have had quite an effect on me. It seems there are two very, very sad stories being written....One is that of the soldiers whose lives and families are being torn apart. The other is that of the Iraqi citizens whose country is being torn apart.
On this sad anniversary, let's forget neither.

Thank you smithfinn. I heard John sing this song live years ago before it was recorded or even quite finished, I believe. It's stayed with me ever since. It's really a beautifully sad song.
