Bill Maher interviews some of religion's oddest adherents. Muslims, Jews and Christians of many kinds pass before his jaundiced eye. Maher goes to a Creationist Museum in Kentucky, which shows that dinosaurs and people lived at the same time 5000 years ago. He talks to truckers at a Truckers' Chapel. (Sign outside: "Jesus love you.") He goes to a theme park called Holy Land in Florida. He speaks to a rabbi in league with Holocaust deniers. He talks to a Muslim musician who preaches hatred of Jews. Maher finds the unlikeliest of believers and, in a certain Vatican priest, he even finds an unlikely skeptic. Written by J. Spurlin

  • i always tell people that i haven't lost faith in god, i've just lost faith in ALL mainstream religion. let's hope that my faith in people doesn't diminish before we do.

  • @reverendbug Well said! No-one has to belong to any religion to believe in a god(s) or no god(s) or to read a Bible or to understand the 10 commandments. =)P

  • I don't like the word "atheist". In my mind you are either a religious person or a logical one. But what really grinds my gear is that all these self-righteous, conceited people depend on science so much but wont admit it. If relegious people started to actually rely on their gods for their survival it'd be a matter of weeks before they all disappeared from the planet. But sadly that wont happen cause a priest might denounce evolution but he wont mind taking antibiotics when he's sick.

  • @HomicideKaede That is why I'm a Pantheist, other then that, all well said. Two thumbs-up to you

  • @reverendbug completely agree with you man. i believe in god, but i dont believe in religion controlling every fabric of your being especially your way of thought. people say "wtf? but religion is the word of god!" no dumbass.. bitchy old men invented it ages ago.

  • thanks for posting.

  • 9 ppl are Muslims!!!!!!!!!

  • The ending of this video only confirmed my belief in a higher being. Religion affects millions of people to do things one wouldn't normally do for thousands of years. I haven't seen anything else like it that has that sort of power to control people. And their faith in it is so incredibly strong it is mind blowing to me. Modern day leaders have a hard time controlling people and this originated thousands years ago and still has immense power. Something above man had to have created this.

  • I love the end at 6:16 when he says for the true devils of extremism, and shows Pat Robertson.lol

    That was fucking great!!!

  • Very superficial and talking in such an artificial way about religions that were thousands of years. Judgemental about people's strongest beliefs, when he obviously is looking for an answer. Jesus left us enough prouf through tradition to understand and follow him but he wants us to believe in him to. If you don't believe in God or church don't denigrate it. Very shameless

  • Very superficial documentary, I was expecting more, obviously created for very simple people. I found remarkable only the interview with the catholic latin specialist priest.

  • Gotta love the burning bush at 6:10 Not only is Maher correct in his assertions, he is frickin hilarious!!

  • @RSwanson1972 the only reason i think that muslims extremist are that way is because they come from horrible and less than standard living conditions and are poor beyond comprehension so all they have is a holy book to live by and don't know much else... most americans seem willfully ignorant of the world in general that statistic about evolution theory and america is pathetic and easily seen why this nation in going down and already developed nations are becoming smarter

  • @RSwanson1972 It's ashame that American politicians say this is a nation based on christian principles when the founding fathers clearly established a separation of church and state so personal beliefs wont come into conflict with political decisions for betterment of this nation.
