To my English-speaking friends who do not understand Russian or Italian; I sincerely regret not being able to create visual comfort for your complete understanding of my video. I could introduce English subtitles, but frankly speaking, I have neither the time nor the energy. Besides, this would considerably take away from the aesthetics of the video, since it is too cumbersome to deal with all three languages at once! So, I suggest that you become familiar with what my characters' say in this video down below. I feel very strongly about this, despite the possible inconvenience, since these are VERY POWERFUL WORDS! This is Andrei Tarkovsky himself addressing humankind through his characters words. This is his spiritual will, if you like. But at the same time, it is so simple and human that it can reach EVERYONE'S HEART.

Scene #1 (in the room)
- You have to cross the water with a lit-up candle
- Which water?
- The hot water in the pool of St. Catherine, next to the hotel, the water that is smoking.

Scene #2 (at the square)
- Which ancestor's voice is speaking in me?...I cannot reconcile my thoughts with my body; this is why I cannot remain the same at all times. In one instant I can feel an endless variety of phenomena. The true evil of our times is that there are no more Great Teachers left! We should listen carefully to the voices that only seem to be useless. It is important that our mind polluted by sewage, school routine, insurance, respond again to the hum of insects. It is important that our eyes, ears, all of us become saturated with what underlies the origins of Great Dream. Someone has got to exclaim that we are going to build pyramids! Never mind, if we never end up achieving it. The desire is what really matters! We should stretch our soul in all directions, as if it is a canvas to be stretched for ever and ever... If you do not want your life to end, we should join hands and mix up together; the so-called healthy people and the so-called sick. Hey, you! The healthy ones! What do you mean you are healthy? The eyes of all humankind are directed at the whirlpool, which is just about to suck all of us in! What's the use of freedom, if you are lacking in courage to take a look into our eyes, to drink, and to sleep with us. It is the so-called healthy people who have brought this world to the brink of catastrophe. Man, listen up! Inside you there are water, fire, and ashes, and the bones in ashes...

Scene #3 (next to a gas jerrycan)

- Oh, Mother! Oh, Mother!...Air is so light that it gets to whirl around your head, and it is becoming more transparent, as you smile...

Scene #4 (Finale, boy's words)
- Dad, is this the end of the world indeed???...

Шедевр! чувство бесконечного одиночества в этом мире.больше всего поражает его пустота.Даже когда показана панорама людей на ступеньках, они выглядят как манекены. То есть сам (Тарковский) внутренне опустошен, тем, что он больше никогда не увидит Россию.
