In this video, Mahalo expert Sean Hewitt explains how you can add other features such as tables, tags and breaks to your blog posts in Windows Live Writer.
Windows Live Writer - Adding Tables, Tags and Breaks
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Tables, Tags and Breaks are a few of the other features you can add to your blog aside from photos and videos. They can come in handy if, perhaps, you would like to separate a video you've included from the rest of your blog's text.
Place your cursor where you would like to insert a Break, for instance. Click on Insert in the top menu bar, then select Horizontal line to insert a break. Try placing a line both above and below an embedded video.
You can also add a table by clicking Insert in the top menu bar and selecting Table. Specify how many Rows and Columns you would like your table to contain, then click Insert.
You can also Customize your table after it's been inserted by using the options panel at the top of the page. You can add, delete and move columns and rows at your discretion.
One thing you can do to help increase your blog's visibility to the public so people can find it is to add Tags. Navigate to the top menu bar, click Insert and then Post tags.
Tags are keywords that people would use to search for pages on different topics. Type various keywords and phrases that relate to your blog post, separating them with commas, and click Insert when you're finished.
Another nice added feature is the ability to insert a hyperlink, which can serve to cite and show users and readers where you received a certain piece of information, like a fact or a quote.
Place your cursor where you would like the hyperlink to go. Navigate to the top menu bar, click Insert, then click Hyperlink. The Insert Hyperlink dialogue box will appear where you can specify the web address you would like the hyperlink to connect to. When you're finished, click Insert in the box.
When you're finished adding any tables, tags or breaks to your blog, click Publish to upload your post.
