Fucking IDIOTS , 2 strokes of that era ran a magneto.These magnetos had no mechanical (centrifugal) advance,hence the term FIXED timing. You set your Timing and locked it down , just like a THE ONLY REAL RACE CARS ,TOP FUEL DRAGSTERS. READ A BOOK GOD DAMN IT !!!! once again young jimmy is correct GOD DAMN IT!! NICE BIKE!!! A two-stroke can sound ratty if the jetting is off as well, regardless of proper timing. That is why we now have EFI, because all you twats out there don't know how to jet a carb!
