I was there from 69-72 (1st - 4th grade). I learned to swim at the pool that is now the location of the new TAS. I played Little League on the Mets in 70 and the cardinals in 71. The cardinal's coach was Sgt Morgan. I lived in local appartment which was located between two military housing. One Navy and the other army or CID Not sure. The friends I rememeber were Leslie Coleman, David York, Dallas Vessie (sp?). I was there during the flood of 71 and the round building was a library (I think)
Still get a wave of nostalgia when I look at this. Sounds like its practically all gone now. In 5th grade, 1974-1975, I had a goofy schedule and had lunch all by myself. Literally, all by myself. I was taking baritone with Mr/ Mrs. Demoulakis as music instructors, and would eat a hot dog and then sit out on the levy - shown nowadays on Googleearth as a fairly sophisticated typhoon protection structure but then I'm sure it was a convention earthen levy - and play the horn.
I went to TAS '67-'69!
