  • i've been looking for a vid on verdasco's backhand for a long time but i've only found forehands and serves. finally i've seen his backhand too. all his shots are awesome. it's a shame he lost to karlovic, he's better but ivo's serve was too much.

  • awesome powerfull backhands......

  • @12OclockLow Hit whichever stroke feels more natural.

Ivo Karlovic is Z E R O without his serve.

  • ya his backhand is pretty bad for a top pro. it's the main thing that holds him back. If he had a superb backhand he would be a whole lot more diffucult to beat but this has always been his weakness. His forehand and serve have got home close to the top

  • Find it amazing how so many people actually find his backhand TECHNICALLY flawless. It may look like it, but if you watch closer you'll see the kinetics are actually quite bad in comparison to other players such as Nalbandian, Safin, or Nadal. He's actually using his forearms to hit his backhands and not his body, therefore giving him pretty bad balance. One huge weakness in his game when it combines with his slow speed around the court.

  • Dang it, I still can't decide whether I like the 2 hander or 1 hander better. I like hitting one handers better, but the 2 handed backhand is way more consistent for me.

  • his backhands a lot worse compared to his forehand

  • he straightens his arms for a full extentios, as he drives through the ball, a very clean classic stroke

  • unbelievable form, beautiful takeback
