Livestock and food traceability in Québec - MAPAQ\ATQ (PART II)

In case of animal health crisis, the Quebec livestock identification and traceability system allows:

- A faster response time to adequately protect the health of animals and people;
- A reduction of negative economic impacts on the Quebec biofood industry.

From the farm to the slaughterhouse, this system improves the monitoring of animal movements. It facilitates animal health watching and implementation of emergency measures.
