@VJHP No, torturing somebody isn't love. Jesus dieing for us so we can live is what I call love. You ever tried to get a tough grass stain out of your white shirt? Impossible huh... That's how the sins we commit attach themselves to us. Nothing but the blood of Jesus can remove your sins because He's the only man who's ever lived a sinless life. One stain lands you in Hell--and we have all sinned and deserve Hell! Faith in Jesus for your salvation removes our sinful stains. That's God's love...

One must understand that according to Jesus, our sins have been forgiven through his death after leading a sinless life. This bridged the gap for all of us so we can someday be with god. We are tainted and he is the pure sinless lamb. Through him, we can now be in the presence of god. God is perfect, if we werent forgiven we could not even LOOK at him think about it. A PERFECT god cannot be seen with unpure eyes.Because he is perfect!

Yes, you can say it logically. But, just compare the simple reason when Cleisthenes established the first democracy in Athens 507 BCE. This is earliest than Jesus. OK, who can proved with picture about Cleisthenes was the person who held the first democracy in human history just as all those dump people asking evidence for Jesus. Jesus is the one whom teaches human about GOD's Kingdom.

@knightofjustic Have you ever heard "Control the school textbooks of a nation and you control its people? The only real truth you can count on is what's in the Bible. Watch this:
"Dr. Hovind shows school textbook's are permeated with fraudulent data "Like" to Help Educate"

@tjwhalan Because they choose to follow man made pagan traditions and doctrines that are contrary to the bible.

@tjwhalan Many feel that way. Faith is the substance of hope, and the evidence of things unseen. You're half way there if you know Christ died. His sacrifice was for the entire world's sins--even for us who were in the future. If you can confess that and mean it then you'd be saved by Christ. So it's something more for you maybe, and like many others who are held back, it's probably the though of changing your life and having a righteous God in charge of it. It's a love for the world over God.

@tonesavage Jesus died for us? 2000 years ago? Now if he comes back and dies for me personally I might believe in him.

@tocadiscos5 That's good you agree the bible is true. The next step is confessing to God that His only Son Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior of you life. If you say and mean then that's it...you goto heaven and Jesus paid your sin bill.
I don't worry about any other facts or finds unless it's evidence supporting bible scripture. And still then it has to pass all the test!
I do not 'know' Jesus excisted and neither do any of us, this is definetly not enough evidence to say yes he defenitly excisted. Yes there are some first hand accounts but the well known historians of the time Plinny the Younger, Suetonious, Tactius can only offer second or third hand accounts at the very best. Now if you were a historian of the time and there was someone walking around with millions of followers performing miracles, would you make the effort to witness these feats first hand?

I understand your view--I really do. But how about when you were in school listening to your history teacher tell you about 200 yr old events. You believed because you history book pointed out the evidence for what he/she was telling you right... It's the same principle with the Bible without the color photograph:-) You can't just say "the bible cant prove anything" because it does exactly that, but like history books, you have to dig in to read and study the historical events it lays out.

@tonesavage Fair point but christians pick and choose what they want to believe out of the bible according to what suits them best. There are over 30,000 diffrent christian sects all choosing to worship diffrent parts of just one book. A history book however is accepted 100% throughout the historical community. They simply present the facts and tell both sides of the story without bias (usually).

You're right, from a non-believers perspective, it would seem there are many difference christian sec's--and many false religions have come from people picking&choosing out of our bible. I see a clearly defined difference however between them and us who believe solely on Jesus Christ for salvation. We keep the whole bible unlike the sec's: mormons, J.W.'s, and Catholic who've written their own doctrines. They do choose bits and pieces from our bible just like you say.
