  • @Byron22Bmc Hello Ian, thanks for commenting. Because grass snakes are so aware and are especially sensitive to human activity in that area in particular, I didn't have many chances to grab one and where I did, I took it! I also slipped on the way down, so that's why I ended up falling over, but I really just meant to lunge for the snake as it 'scampered' off.

    Cheers,

    Ben

  • can u keap a wild grass snake like if fed it and took care of it as u do with a pet snake can u keap them so want one

pls any tips im so in to snakes

  • @MrsJadehall Hi there. thanks for watching. No, you shouldn't keep grass snakes. Firstly they are protected by law. Therefore any resultant injury and death from keeping one, would be an offence. Secondly, they have to be fed on frogs and toads and it is very difficult and cruel to find that many for the snake for the entire year. Therefore I would say definatly not, to keeping one. They look way better in the wild anyway.

    Cheers,

    Ben

  • Hi Ben. Is Exmoor in somerset a good place to find snakes? My brother recently found and caught 2 slow worms there, but we couldnt find any snakes. Cheers for your earlier comment!

  • @robinswith1b Hiya mate, that sounds like a great spot. There will be snakes around you. Check your local wildlife trust website or call them up. All our snake species are out of hibernation now and will continue to be so until October. Good luck!

  • @HannahSolMusic I would like to do that. You're too kind. Thanks for watching.
