Definitely not. Naginata is no longer gender specific. Plenty of males these days are learning naginata (especially male kendoka).

And on a more serious note, is the naginata almost exclusively a female art these days? I have seen other specials on japanese martial arts and naginata schools are almost always just full of either really young girls or much older ladies.
