Material scientist Dr Mark Miodownik challenges basketball player Jamell Anderson of the Essex Pirates to shoot a penalty using a progressively smaller ball and hoop. Mark also explains to the audience why his tiny microscopic basketballs won't bounce.

  • @iDontbreakPS3 the only fail is that it might be an average of the gravitational constant in Sweden and not worldwide. but i am guessing that you are trolling and have no idea.

  • @yoguely gravity is not always 9.81 m/s^2 on earth, it's an average of the different gravitationalforces around the world.

  • I can see what the lecturer is trying to do, and I applaud his efforts;

    but he just made the same point twice, in the same three minutes.
