This toad was found in Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino County, California, USA. I believe it is a B. boreas halophilus because of range, size, and the central dorsal line. I don't "do" bonethings, so i just moved this toad away from the trail and my buddy's dogs. Bufo toads have nice sized parotoid glands which, in some species, can produce highly toxic poison. This species is not particularily toxic, i believe =P Also, this specimen didn't produce any toxin that i could see, as i believe they look like they are sweating milk from their p-glands and/or skin when they do.

There is a chance this toad is B. boreas boreas... i am definitely not a "true" herp person :)
