This green smoothie recipe is made with baby spinach and frozen pineapple chunks. This green smoothie recipe makes a healthy breakfast or snack.

For this recipe, you'll need:

2 cups unsweetened pineapple chunks
1 cup firmly-packed baby spinach
1 cup green grapes
1/2 cup coconut milk
1-1/4 cups orange juice
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
2 Tbsp. honey (optional)

Place the frozen pineapple in the blender first. Then add the remaining ingredients.

As you can see, I'm not going to add the honey, but if you prefer a sweeter smoothie, go ahead and use the honey.

Now blend on high. I'm using a powerful VitaMix blender, which can easily crush the frozen pineapple. If your blender has trouble crushing the pineapple, you may need to stop it, turn the blender off, then push the fruit into the blender blades and turn it on again.

Ok, blend the smoothie until everything is pureed, about 3 minutes.

And here's your healthy green smoothie!

  • I'm lactose intolerant would the coconut milk make me sick? Should I substitute it with Soy?

  • @Trueboldness The coconut milk should be a good substitute for you. But you can also use soy milk.
