great!

I like it! I too love doing new things with old (or obscure) music. Thanks

@choirboyfromhell1 - Indeed. Just listen to the line "my soul is athirst for God" from "Like as the Hart". Jazz subsumed into the Anglican idiom.

Great version! I was skeptical at first with the drum and bass, but it really came out well!
We are using the same book for our Choir, and it is nice to see some accurate versions posted, instead of everything BUT the one we are using!
Looking forward to seeing more Anthems from this book!

Thank you...I so love this anthem and the way that that it has been put together. Its
a terrific way of making the classics accessible to todays modern culture. Please do more classic makeovers. I'm singing this in the traditional way in a Church of England
this weekend and used your video to rehearse! Love it!

Really enjoyed this, what a great way to introduce these older anthems to the youth in our churches.

Imaginative arrangement and heartwarming performance of this lovely anthem - look forward to some more. As for the singing - you have a very pleasing rich tone (just need a few lessons to develop consistent breath support.)
thanks for this - we are doing it this Sunday in church - great recording, nice to practice to something a little different!

Surprisingly nice, I've always said Howells was blues in choir drag.
You should try the St. Paul Service next....

Many thanks! I'd quite like to do 'Like As The Hart' at some point. Now that IS bluesy!
