@omgwtfbbq116 That's what many people think and its a very big possibility. But we need to keep in mind she already had 2 attempted suicides under her belt from before they even met. I don't know if he is the exact cause for the last one, but I definitely think he was the last bit that pushed her over. You should consider watching the film. It's here on youtube in parts and its not bad =]

@UrMomWatchesThis i haven't seen the film, but studied her briefly when reading her poetry, just to get an idea of what was happening in her head. it's heavily implied that ted was an abusive partner, especially in "poppies in july" in the fourth stanzas "a mouth just bloodied. little bloodied skirts". was it not their divorce and his remarriage that was one of the main factors in her suicide?
