  • What an incredible example of the kinds of students whose individuality and high standards deserve the quality teachers and curriculum to meet their needs. Thank you so much for your support. You have no idea how much it means to the teachers in your community.

  • Go Stephen! (:

  • most of what the teachers were "whining" about was the curriculum web. not the money issue.

get your facts straight before you sound like an idiot

  • At 1:02, I would like to add we are also being trained to hate our government, fight the law with illegal acts, whine until we get what we want, that if everyone works together, it is okay to do something immoral to get more money.

  • 39K is average. Get over it.

I know people who would be damned lucky to have 39K a year and a possiblity for summer work. I know people who cannot afford food or water and live in shelters. You people need to check your grip on realty before you whine that you are poor.

Teach because you love helping youth and the next gen. Not for the money. It makes you all look like the greedy pigs you are. You cannot fool me.

  • Hey Toehead, Where do you plan on getting the money to pay for the raise? It's public monies you are debating here. You sound like a Democrat.

  • Love what you are doing, just wish there was a way to include the lower grades into your quest, my 1st and 6th grader would be proud to hold the torch with your group until resolution. Please give info on where and when you plan your next strike. Until then my kids will strike along side the teachers.

  • You, and all of our supportive students, have made me very proud to be a teacher in this district. Thank you.

  • Thank you so much for speaking so eloquently and intelligently. You are making a huge difference and you ARE more than your test scores and "Newsweek" ratings. Don't let anyone tell you to give up!

  • Excellent job. The teachers were talking about this video on the picket line today and we were singing your praises. Thank you for your support.

  • Go Stephen :). The district really needs to notice that they're loosing support from everyone. Couldn't make it to the rally, but I still support the cause.

  • What people seem to be misunderstanding is what the curriculum web is. The is just the MEDIUM to provide the curriculum. It makes sense to have common objectives and common lessons (that are NOT scripted). The curriculum web allows for dynamic collaboration and flexible lessons as opposed to 3 ring binders and giant books full of lessons. It is a new and innovatve way to deal with and share curriculum, NOT the end all be all to curriculum.
