keep in mind this was the day after Kenny Irwin died in a similar impact, I was scared that NASCAR could have lose 2 drivers in 2 days!

Dennis just flipped into the fence in the nationwide race. Like 10 other cars were extremly damaged. Thankfully they were all ok.

This was when racing was for men and not boys. Remember, they didn't have safer barriers back then.

I have this on tape somewhere, as I was an Andy Houston fan in trucks, and saw every truck race from 2000.

I'm not sure, but I was told that the gravel from inside the track can sometimes make the throttles hang.....anybody have any more info on this?

yeah, you could hit very hard here - so hard in fact, that Kenny Irwin and Adam Petty both were killed in extremely identical accidents in that same corner that year (although their crashed cars didnt come back down into traffic)

Yeah I'm from NE and I love NHMS but there Is something very scary about turn 3 there and freaks me out..so Many people have either hit that wall and gone airborne or died..I don't know what it is...Adam, Kenny, Setzer, Hornaday, McClure, Nemechek (a couple years ago when his wheel fell off)..Awesome racing there tho.
