In loving memory of Dr. Linda C. Busarow (May 27, 2011). You changed and inspired our lives forever, as only a true educator can.

"Old Irish Blessing" by Denes Agay
Performed by the Fairborn High School A Cappella Choir - May 6, 2003
Director: Dr. Linda C. Busarow
Accompanist, Piano: Amy Whitehill
Accompanist, Cello: Scott Neff

Notes:
As per FHS tradition (at least from 1996-2004), this song is sung at the final choral concert of each school year as a farewell to the graduating seniors.

Lyrics:
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back...
The sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord cause his face to shine upon you,
And give you peace.

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back...
The sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

  • Wow. 2003, I was still in Five Points Elementry when they played this song, and even today the Acap choir continues to play this song on the very last concert. I graduated in '09 and it's never left my memory since.

No matter where in the world I go, no matter what situation I find myself in, or what state of mind overwhelms me, nothing is as comforting as the melodies learned in those halls of ivy that takes me back home to the sweet reminiscence of memories ago, you know?

  • This song is absolutely beautiful. I went to fairborn and heard this many times. Thank you for posting.
