Since then Pahlavi, who now lives in the US, has been a leading advocate of the principles of freedom, democracy and human rights in his homeland. He joins David frost to talk about his hopes for a fresh policy towards this isolated Islamic state.

I recall when the Shah was deposed. I was in Jr High and recall my parents watching it in shock. Iran's Air Force was the only other than the USA that flew F-14s. The clerics have managed to keep 25 of the 75 sold in 1977 still flying. GM used to used to make Chevrolet Malibu's & Cadillac Sevilles in Iran. What a tragedy. Despite high oil prices the country is a mess.
