It's Going To Be Okay - Episode 18 Part 2

*After class, Demi hurries into the hallways and to her locker. Avoiding confrontation with Joe as best as she could. Unfortunately for her, he followed her to her locker and stood there staring at her, waiting for her to say something*
Demi: (Feels him staring at her) What?
Joe: Are you avoiding me?
Demi: (Under her breath) Maybe.
Joe: What?
Demi: Nothing. No.
Joe: Then why does it seem that way? Did I do something wrong?
Demi: Of course not Joe.
Joe: Then can you please tell me whats going on?
Demi: (Closes her locker and leans her back against it, facing Joe) Nothings going on Joe. Its our first day back to school in two weeks, its going to be weird.
Joe: (Shaking his head, and looking into her eyes) I dont want it to be. Demi, I really like being with you. I know I havent remembered everything just yet, but I will.
Demi: (Nods her head) I know.
Joe: (Puts his hand on her shoulder) And Demi?
Demi: Yeah, Joe?
Joe: Im sorry about your baby. Kevin told me that you lost it when you fell.
Demi: (Looks down) Thanks.
Joe: So after school. You should come over to we can talk. Maybe you can help me remember some things about me. About you. (Chuckles) About us.
Demi: I dont think--
Joe: Please?
Demi: (Looks back up and half smiles) Okay.
Joe: Great. (Smiles and leans in to kiss her)
Demi: (Turns her head) Ill Ill see you after school Joe.
Joe: (Slightly confused) Alright.
Demi: (Walks away, headed for her next class)
Joe: (Headed to class too)

*Meanwhile Nick was headed to class on the other side of the school when he heard someone crying. He peeked around the corner at the end of the hallway, and noticed Selena sitting on the ground with her back against the lockers and her head buried into her knees. By this time class had already started, leaving Nick and Selena to be the only ones left in the hall. Seeing Selena crying and seemingly helpless, Nick decided to go and sit next to her. As soon as he did he pulled Selena into a hug and let her cry into his chest. Selena just laid there in his arms, feeling the comfort she so desperately needed. After a few moments went by, Selena pulled away and wiped her tears. She then looked at Nick straight in the face, and they just stared at each other for a few minutes*
Selena: (Still staring at him) You need to get to class.
Nick: (Not shifting his gaze) So do you.
Selena: Im sorry, Nick.
Nick: Me too.
Selena: (Looks down)
Nick: (Picks her face back up) I love you so much, Sel. Im sorry I got so upset with you. I know that you werent not honest with me on purpose, you just didnt want to hurt me. And I dont want to hurt you either. Cody is a monster and he is now only part of our past. Like I told you before, making love to you was the most amazing thing in my life, and I just didnt understand before what made you think of him. But now I do. Sort of, anyways. I know that the night he tried to force himself on you was not what you wanted, and Im sorry for making you think any differently.
Selena: I love you too, Nick. And Im sorry that I upset you. I wanted to make love to you for the longest time. Believe me when I say that I am still happy it happened. Also, the only reason I thought of him at any time wasnt because I wanted him, its because I didnt. I think the both of us knew that he would never fully have me, and he was so mad because of it. Miley saved me, not once but twice. Without her I dont know that I could say my first time was with someone who I love with all of my heart. I have absolutely no regrets for being with you. The only thing I do regret is upsetting you and being without you all this time. I miss you so much. And I do love you.
Nick: I missed you too, Sel (Still holding her face in his hands, he pulls it towards him kisses her)
Selena: (Kisses him back for a minute and then pulls away and smiles)

*They stared at each other for a few more minutes in silence, and then shared another kiss. Just then the bell rang, and all of the students came rushing into the hall. Nick and Selena stood up quickly, and walked to their next class hand in hand.
