Ronnie Peterson/Gilles Villeneuve 1977 Fuji Crash

Ronnie Peterson and Gilles Villeneuve crash into the crowd during the 1977 Japanese Grand Prix. The crash would kill one spectator, Kazuhiro Ohashi, and one marshal, Kengo Yiasa. This was Gilles' second start for the Ferrari team.

@thenicedudejay Sorry, but everyone in F1 knows what they're getting into, as well as the spectators. In '77, safety was an afterthought, and things like this happened often. It is more the event organizer's fault, and not at all Gille's, Peterson's or the spectators'.

Tragic accident, but the people killed were all stood in a prohibited area.

sorry to say this Jacques , but Gilles was one mad man F1 driver. fast as hell , but way over ambitious & dangerous in his driving. Risking his own life as well as others in the process , is not cool at all. R.I.P :-(
