That is a car for TRUE enthusiast. Take away abs, paddle shifters and all the electronic safety features of most modern sports cars, and most of the idiot drivers out here would wrap themselves around a tree within 30 days of ownership. Especially in the states. They give driver's licenses to any boob that can parallel park in this country.

@blahblop123 since the 2008 C6 upgrade (LS3 engine) the interior was considerably upgraded,and you could opt for a fully leather wrapped and padded interior (sat in it and touched the materials) and the 2012 Centennial Package interior is another huge improvement, vastly upgraded, and the upcoming C7 i'm pretty sure will have that adressed majorly too as it has been a priority for GM to improve interior materials als quality as since the 90s they admittedly have lacked in that department

@blahblop123 well i do know however guys that are far from rich who down own and run Corvette`s one has a 2010 Grand Sport and the other has a Z06, and both are far from big earners or rich, costly it is yes, but considering what they get and how reliable these cars are (both are also used for daily driving) it is more than reasonable. interior wise, granted like i said, you are not getting a bentley-grade interior but that's not what you are buying one for in the first place.

@CHUUMPASS but the zr1 is the model making all the noise with the quick nurburgring time.. the rest of the range is undesirable.. the z06 is probably as expensive to maintain if you get the z07 package (which you would).. the only way for a blue collar can own and run a vette is in when you buy the car with stock bits, no big brakes, no competition tyres, no z07 package, that way maintainance is low, but then you dont get the nurburgring numbers. its not an ideal car for a blue collar

@CHUUMPASS i never said the zr1 can't hang with the finest PERFORMANCE wise... the vette can't hang with the finest, full stop... you take a vette, park it beside a fine car.. a mclaren SLR for example... the SLR will draw the bigger crowd.. no matter which country it is in.. the zr1 is too cheaply made (lacks quality) to hang with the finest, and too expensive to run for the average blue collar..,

@blahblop123 you can't deny that a Corvette is quite THE attainable supercar,that can hang with the world`s best that cost many times more.of course something has to give and you don't have a Bentley interior coming with it,but that is just not what matters to most who opt to own one to begin with!so there is no basis for arguments here in that regard at all.you just seem to deny that Vettes and Vipers can hang with the finest performancewise when in fact they have proven it time and time again!

@blahblop123 well, you must be filthy rich yourself when you say you seem more 458s than Corvettes, me i'm german and i live in an average sized town, of course i don't see Corvette , Viper much less Ferraris by the dozens here, but i know of guys who do have regular jobs and drive their Corvette`s i wasn't exclusively referring to the ZR-1 as that is the most expensive granted, especially in europa where extra fees and taxation increases the price not to mention cost of maintenance.

@CHUUMPASS anyone can read the list price.. its one number.. if your sitting in your bedroom at your mums house with no job.. thats what you see .. but in reality, theres more shit to worry about and an average blue collar CANNOT maintain a vette.. its simple, its reality and it FACT since you love facts

@CHUUMPASS average blue collar guy ? are you mad ? do you have any idea how expensive those dot competion tyres are, and how quick they wear ? how expensive its to replace those massive enzo brakes ? yh, its not cheap by any means... only rich enthusiasts and tuners buy it.. jay leno loves his cars and is an enthusiast but he has his own preference, if i had his garage i'd sell most of the cars he likes (the tank car is horrific) and you know you would too..

@CHUUMPASS i didn't say it was crudely made, i said it was basic. and again, with the performance for less BS.. if you want performance for less, get a radical, its the fastest thing on the road being sold today, and its pure performance, why does it matter that it has no roof ?, or no power steering ? back that up ? jeremy clarkson knows nothing, but i have been in a vette and NO ONE backs its interior, even the vette fanboys keep the interior on the low because they know its SHIT

@CHUUMPASS i dont know where your living but i have NEVER seen a corvette on the roads, motor shows yes, on the road, as in people like you and me having paid their own hard earned cash for.. never... i'd been to london, geneva, frankfurt, paris, NYC and not once.. well, somethings wrong..i've seen more 458's than ANY vette from ANY year..thats saying something..
