teenager commits suicide while streaming online

A Florida boy overdoses on pills while streaming online. People watched and commented, but it wasn't until after he was dead that anyone called. This reminds me of a movie I saw, and it was disturbing as well. Do you think people believed what they saw? Are people really that detached that they will watch someone die?
