For me, it was the power rangers era that cartoons really started to jump the shark, although a few cartoons are good.

I'm sticking to the 80s and early 90's.

@jmjfanss Nah I don't go with that man, it was a golden era, but it carried on into the 90's and only properly stopped with the emergence of more cgi stuff and animators getting sacked round about 2002 or perhaps a couple of years earlier. There were a whole host of great cartoons and kids shows in the 90's, glad i got to experience the best of both decades! :)

even though they are based on toys, they look like cartoons compared to now.

@jmjfanss The 90's had some great stuff, I watched a lotta tv programmes from both the 80's and 90's, in fact most of the 90's cartoons were very comparable to the 80's, some were better even, in their design and creation, but I do agree that the 00's sucked the life right outa kids tv shows.
