in Ratchet and clank 2 (Maktar Nebula - Jamming Array) you were able to platform on sphere shaped planets. The game came out in 2003, before Super Mario Galaxy.

@Timesplitter95 yah i know but this world is cod crazy just the fact that that was the first game he thought to compare ANYTHING to makes me cringe a little. don't get me wrong i love cod its high in my christmas list but the world is a little too obsessed is all
