This is the ongoing saga of "Bones" the Eastern Box Turtle. Through the magic of modern technology, glimpse into the life of a wild box turtle in its natural environment. Bones is in the same location as on day 10. He was sitting on the surface of the ground partially hidden under dry leaves under the limbs of a Mountain Laurel shrub. He was on the western edge of the clearing where the badminton court is located about 120 feet north of the small creek. The vegetation in the area consists of an understory of Mountain Laurel, Rhododenderons, Wild Strawberries, Blueberry, Pink Lady Slipper and mixed grasses and mushrooms. The canopy is dominated by White Pines, Sweetgum and Red Maple.
