Episode 3 WITH COMMENTARY!

Yup, I've got a cold so I can't do much work on my real projects at the moment but at some point (When I have a voice again) I hope to release a good 30 minutes of Last Exile Abridged OST as a free download through itunes with the only request that you donnate what you think it's worth to some worthwhile charity. Some of those songs you've already heard, others will be totally new, others will be extended versions of previously featured songs but none of them are gonna get done before this cold goes away so in the mean time... Have this stupid commentary video.

Dude, You are so awesome. Me and my friends are attempting to make a abridged series and we are almost epic failing even though it isn't up yet. Any tips for syncing, cutting and what not?

Well, personally, I have (since this episode) discovered that the velocity slider in vegas is my best friend for lip synching. I don't really know more then what I've learned sort of on the fly and only about vegas but generally, begin your video cuts when the character's mouth is about to move, then end it on a frame where thier mouth closes shut again, but use the velocity slider to slow down the last couple frames until it closes at the same time the dialogue ends... Hope thats at all useful

Yeah, I remember seeing this episode and thinking that his reasons for tracking down the Silvana and searching for Alvis were just too way out there. "We have to make sure that the package is treated with care." Uh, what? I mean, Claus and Lavie are pretty much the equivalent of mailmen or UPS delivery servicemen. Once they deliver a package to the recipient they don't care if said recipient stomps on said package like Michael Flatley. Granted, Alvis is certainly more than a mere porcelain vase.

It'd be funny to see an anime series where the defined hero from the first episode does actually give up and go home in the 3rd episode... and they have to start all over again with a new person, or even better keep expecting the original person to keep showing up at pivotal moments but he never does.

Yeah, sorry for the constant posting over the last couple of hours. I just watched the whole series, and this abridged series today.
