The Soviets did exactly this same thing with their kids telling them how wonderful Josef Stalin was. Chinese did it with Mao. N. Koreans still do it with Kim Jong-il & his daddy, Kim Il-sung. I'm glad I grew up when I did when my parents were the ones telling me what to think.
