Singer Bethany Rutstein performing (1) "What a Difference a Day Made" by Stanley Adams & Maria Grever and (2) "I've Never Been in Love Before" from Guys and Dolls by Frank Loesser.
Pretty voice, very nice intonation and phrasing. But just because the piano player swings the rhythm of "I've Never Been In Love Before" doesn't make this young lady a jazz singer. This is simply straight forward singing with no jazz elements by the vocalsit. I'm not saying that the performance is not good, it's not jazz, that's all. Best wishes.
Wow Bethany ! You are SO talented and beautiful....I hope Elliot posts more performances as your star rises. May riding your creative beam bring you great joy. Happy Birthday. Twenty two. Wow.

You rock - that was absolutely FABULOUS! You voice is beautiful and you are beyond beautiful, inside and out! Fully expect to be buying tickets to one of your concerts in the future. Love, xoxo, Sue
@jonatanostberg Yeah, I'd agree. Very classical. Jazz vocalists tend to lay off the vibrato much more for one thing. Great voice though!

Your technique is very classical, but I miss the more free phrasing og intonation that it is in jazz (through my eyes).
