  • Any clips from the 4/10/09 storm?

  • Yes i have a clip of the recent storm and will be uploading it later today. My computers and phone lines have been out since Friday night after a lightning strike in the front yard during the storm. It knocked out the filters on the phone line and fried the DSL modem. AT&T had a tech here this afternoon (Tues.) to repair the damages.

  • it went through taylorsville bad yall berely got any of it

  • I Live in the Savannah area about 30 miles north. On that same day about 10:00 that evening I was watching severe weather move through our area. In fact a tornado did hit in the next town over causing some damage to homes, no injuries or deaths were reported but there was a blackout.

  • i was driving during this storm in kennesaw HELL

  • Oh yeah, I remember this storm.

I was caught in Woodland High when the sirens went off. At the time, we were doing an elementary school science competition. You tell me which is worse: a tornado warning, 300 screaming elementary schoolers, or a combination of the two? XP

Then I left the school 15 minutes before the warning was over to go see a concert. Silly me, ignoring life-saving sirens. (I'm not that smart. :D)

  • That tornado siren I am hearing is a Whelen running in Wail Tone.

  • I remember that I was Actully running form that dam thing got a few houses

  • Where in Cartersville is this? I have friends in that town. I know there's a WPS just off Main St. beside the Knight's Inn; also a larger one on TN Ave. in downtown. I've seen a few Vortex sirens in Bartow County on the highway which runs from Calhoun to Cartersville. Evidently Bartow County has a system of Whelens?

  • Yeah I lived through this, it was so erie the sounds of the siren and the hail and rain and wind and of course the train!! We had the back door open trying to listen for a tornado and we heard the train and said well I guess we won't know if it is a tornado or just the damn train!
