I've seen a video on this very thing. I was really intrigued. This idea has been around for a couple or three decades. I would love to go to Mexico and build and live in an earthship. The weather would help my bones and I could be constructive...Namaste

You can build in the USA with alternative methods. You just have to have the research to satisfy your building department. Strawbale construction is excellent in colder areas and some cities have approved them. Don't dismiss alternative methods just because somebody heard somebody else say you can't.
