SORRY, SOUNDS SO MUCH LIKE THE FACIST SONGS OF THE 30S AND 40S, IT JUST PLODS! I'VE BEEN LISTENING TO OTHER ARGENTINE SONGS ON THIS SUBJECT, AND WHILE I TOTALY DISAGREE WITH THEIR VIEWS, ---- I HAVE TO ADMIT ---- IT'S GREAT MUSIC. BUT THIS, AGAIN I'M SORRY, SMACKS OF A VERY BAD TASTE IN MUSIC - BUT TAKES ALL SORTS, 'I' REALLY HATE RAP - BUT WHO CARES ABOUT THAT?
@florhh14 Whilst it is a matter of musical taste which one sounds better, I think the Falkland Islands can stick with their own proud anthem for now. After all aliens have not discovered us yet, so the Islands cannot be hiding under "alien banners".
@Myles0Harcourt the lyrics are very beautiful. you should search the translation. And you can't compair this with the horst wessel, this is 100 times better ;) lol both countries should use this anthem and britain can sing their english version without changing the meaning.
It is catchy in the same way as is the Horst Wessel Lied or Internationale. When you don't understand what the words mean then the tune sounds pretty cool, but you would never dream of using it for your own purposes. That said, I am sure someone in the Falklands could make make up one with English words, which didn't whine or moan, but rather sing about the virtues of the Falkland Islands.

Much as I dislike Argentina and support the Falkland Islanders' right to self-determination, I have to admit that this song is very catchy.

lol, they didn't win the falklands so they'll "pretend" they have them. Oh how sad. If that's the case i'll pretend i own the entire planet. :)
