in this scene the song starts in the middle (3rd couplet)

"...There's a river pouring
From a pure and a crystal stream
And it carries my heart along
Carries me all my life
And I know it will bring me home

There's a choir singing
With a force that can light the sky
I will join with a voice deep inside
Anthems for joys gone by
And for joys I am sure will come

Golden treasure in the evening sky
It's good to be alive
Golden measure, hear the music cry
When my heart sings
Of golden things

There's a dove ascending
Like my thoughts in the summer sky
And she carries my soul along
Clear to eternity
And I know I am not alone

Golden treasure in the evening sky
It's good to be alive
Golden measure, hear the music cry
When my heart sings
Of golden things

There's a river pouring
From a pure and a crystal stream
And it carries my heart along
Carries me all my life
And I know it will bring me home..."

  • fuck there i am...19 years, self proclaimed tough guy, hard-rock-guitarist, big hair, whiskey-fan...and a tears in my eye...fuck, miami vice is just great and that scene kicks me in the heart every single time i see it...why can´t they make stuff like that anymore...fuck sex and the city...

  • Man, Miami Vice was epic. Love the use of music in scenes, very deep show. Michael Mann should do a new tv show with the same kind of feel to it, i would love that.

  • Switek was never the same after Zito died. But what I never got is WHY wasn't Zito packing heat in that gym bag? His cover could've been blown at any time. Those guys were just standing there and he couldn't shoot 'em since he was no longer undercover? They just pumped him up with juice and hung him out to dry. One of the saddest moments in the series.

  • @Krehlst5150 Amen brother...greatest show ever!

  • Whyy.. Oh god Whyyyyyy! What will do Switek now, they were best friend. I would kill everyone if i were Switek

  • @BOURBONJULIO That just made me burst out in a laugh, so high, that my dog crapped on the floor and tought that his time was up. Aaaah, that was a good one mate :)

  • @BOURBONJULIO hahaha that's funny but wrong. I guess I was trying to point out I'm not the kind of guy you would expect to cry over a tv show. Looking back it was pretty stupid on my part.

  • @doneodom Why do you all give your stats, is your truck parked right in front of The Blue Oyster?

  • @Krehlst5150 Switeck and Zito were good friends,...I'll put this scene up there with anything from a 4 star film!

  • WOW! Haven't seen this scene since the first time it aired, still remember it well! Even on reruns they rarely show this episode...

  • One of best miami vice scene
