In Canada and Florida yes. As well in the US I think it may be illegal to use a radar detector while driving a vehicle over a certain weight.

I recently put in a jammer into my car. The way to do it is have your jammer on at all times. Once you get hit with laser it will notify you. You now have a few seconds to slow down and turn off your jammer at the same time as the cop tries once again to shoot you. He will now get a successful reading, but you will be going the speed limit or close to it. A jammer has now saved me from 2 tickets in a 2 week timespan.

If a cop is using radar and doesn't pick up a signal at all (due to the jammers) isn't that a dead giveaway that you have them? or are they not illegal?
