In 'The Light Thief', a humble village electrician devotes his days helping his neighbours in a wind-swept valley of Kyrgyzstan. His skills with wires and circuits are put to good use not just restoring power to people's homes, but also to their lives.

Pursuing his dream to supply wind-generated electricity to the whole valley, he's pitched against the increasingly powerful force of corruption. 'The Light Thief' is a moving tale of solidarity and decency amid the injustices and hardships of a changing world - from acclaimed writer/director Aktan Aryn Kubat.
