haley and jim the flame 0001

Haley and Jim were engaged but when a job transfer offer comes up, Haley breaks things off and tells him to go. He leaves and begins dating another girl, Sadie. He leans over to kiss her one night while in bed, but has a memory of Haley lying next to him. He decides to propose to Sadie and thinks back to the first night he wanted to propose to Haley. He uses the same ring for Sadie. Haley had said no to the first proposal and then broke up with him after the second one, so he figures he'd rather be with Sadie than alone.

POV changes to Haley. She wakes up from a dream of her and Jim lying around candle light. When she wakes up she sees a flashback of the two of them from when they first moved in together. She has breakfast with her five year old son, Jamie, who asks when his dad is coming home.

She meets up with Lucas to talk about Jamie asking that and explains to Luke that she broke up with Jim and didn't tell him she was pregnant because she was unsure of what she wanted to do with her life, so she let him go and decided to raise the baby alone. Her boyfriend, Nathan, comes over and when he kisses her she thinks back to her and Jim.

She finds out about Jim being engaged to another girl and finally ends things with Nathan. She calls Jim and explains that he can't marry Sadie because Haley wants him. He hangs up on her and the next day gets into an argument with Sadie and ends their relationship.

He goes to the beach and writes his wedding vows in the sand, then tells Brooke to bring Haley there. She sees him and it ends with the wedding.
