I've got a similar problem. I'm just on SD not HD, and it skips and freezes, most of the time the picture freezes and the audio is skipping. Just now it did it for 2 minutes. I don't care now because i'm not really watching, but when i'm watching a Utah Jazz game and it does it, it get's REALLY FRUSTRATING

great vid Bob. Seems like every Sunday Fox HD is unavailable. I just happened to see it during Nascar yesterday, and I remember it was an issue back during the NFL season. They rob every household of 80+ bucks a month and they still suck.
Hey Comcast - get the NFL ticket and SPEED- HD already..youre losing. whatever it takes, just get it done. and for *$#$ sake, fix Bob's cable!

After posting this video to YouTube, I received an email message from a Comcast Representative who offered to assist in resolving this issue. A message was sent back to him but still no word on what - if anything - they plan on doing to resolve this issue.

Comcast called and will send a tech to my location on Friday morning to - hopefully - resolve this issue.

UPDATE: Yesterday morning (6/1/09), I spoke with a Comcast Representative who advised he was going to escalate my issue to someone locally in an attempt to resolve our poor HD service. In the late afternoon I received a voice mail message from a Comcast Executive - somewhere in the East Bay - who advised that I would be reciveing a call from a local technician during the day on (6/2/09). So far no contact has been made with the Technician. More to come...

Well it could be that the signal in your house is just poor.Meaning like too many splits,my house had the same situation, and it was resolved easily just disconnecting some things.

We live in a new subdivision with fiber and cat6 throughout the area. The issue was determined to be with a 'filter' either on the side of our residence - or near the node. It was resolved after several visits and testing by their techs.
I'm still not happy with Comcast and after hearing about a new rate hike, we will be canceling our service for good.
Thanks for your response.
