shankly was a great and honourable man as was paisley & fagin. When they appointed Dalgliesh first time around was when scose managers lost dignity although he was probably the greatest player I saw as a kid and I am and was then a match going united fan.
Shame LFC banned Shanks from watching them train when Paisley became manager and he watched Everton and United both train and matches more before his death in 1981.
