Train 732 A Coal Hauler

Video of NS Train 732, A Coal Hauler headed south thru the crossing at Bunch, which is near Jenkinsburg Georgia on 11-16-10, This coal train was being pulled by BNSF Locomotives. (often referred to as Pumpkins) They were looking quite impressive.

In 1948 I was learning to be a throttle jerker on an old Baldwin 2-6-2 and the first set of cars I pulled was 25 coal cars and of course a caboose at the end. My job was to refill the overhead coal bins for the Locomotive Tenders. These coal trains always bring these old memories back. Great video :-)

The difference that the sun makes is incredible. It brought out the colours of the pumpkins nicely. Hard to pan and zoom the camera when there going that speed. Excellent video Walter.
