I was at Universal Studios waiting 5 hours to get in. I shot live footage of the ordeal from the Tourist perspective. This footage has never been seen or used by any media. I shot this Footage with my cell phone hours before the media started interviewing people at the enterance gate....BTW, I got a Free Return Ticket for my time!

@haseo307 Actually, it was none of those, it was proven that producers were supposed to stay on the area that had that powder for 1 hour watched, when they were done, they left to take a break, when they came back on the set, the fire broke and spread rapidly

@wendyblue7 This happened early in the morning, around 4:30AM, the park was closed on June 1, but reopened the next day, Tourists on the Universal Backlot Tour were devastated about the King Kong Attraction being burned. Also, it lost more than 85 years of history, many of their films were destroyed in the fire, the video vault was burned down, luckily, there is another video vault at Universal Orlando Studio

@marcman316 It was actually caused by three employee's fixing a set at about 3 in the morning using a torch. They waited to be sure there was no sign of backdrafting, and left. A security guard reported flames around 4 a.m. That's all the news ever said.

@marcman316 it was actully cuse by ether the backdraft acctractoin or the king kong thing cuse they said 1 of the fires form the set speard on 2 the ceiling
