Experimental beat - Kaossilator Pro & MPC500

I've been wanting to learn the drums for years now, so I went a little nuts with the tax return and got a set of Roland V-Drums to learn. Once I heard about the new Kaossilator Pro a month later (couple days ago), I returned to the store to cop that as well.

So the drum beat is something I played live on the V-Drums (very simple pattern, as I've only been practicing for a half hour a day) and sampled into the MPC, chopped it up (albeit poorly) and flipped it, sampled the beat from there into the Kaossilator and played over it, then sampled the synth tracks from the Kaossilator BACK to the MPC (since the Kaossilator is very limited as to how many measures you can sample and I just wanted to have a couple measures of my drum pattern to play over). I probably made it way harder than it had to be but I'm learning.

I dig what you're doing, man. I've got a kaossilator pro myself, next piece of equipment I want to get is an MPC500. I use reaper as well. Do you have a bandcamp or soundcloud? Mine's at arborbarbatus. bandcamp. com if you feel like checking out what I've done with just the kaossilator recording into audacity and adding fx in reaper.

I think the Kaossilator will be the next gadget i will buy ... it is truly amazing what you can do with this thing, if you only put some time into it and a little bit creativity =) good job done here ;)

Do you wanna tell me which software you are using for your records ?

@Satanzbrut Thank you! I only use Reaper as software, for sequencing. I don't like virtual instruments, personally.
