Since you have already seen rhino beetles mate, I uploaded a vid of these guys. Their behaviour is really neat...

Other than that, I saw this neat pair of flying geckoes on the internet for sale here, but they were way too expensive... : (

  • I really, want a stag beetle, but sadly in our country they don't sell any, and in online websites they're really expensive.

  • @klm2461 Where are you located? In Korea(where I live), nice sized stag beetles are expensive too, but we aren't allowed to have foreign species(of course, they do sell them illegally, but they are very, very expensive).

What's really sad is the price of reptiles and amphibians here.

  • What is he doing? Looks like that stag beetle female is having more fun than what we human females go through.... & wow that male went beyond 5 mins. Most human guys only last for 2 mins & they don't even bother giving a massage. Clearly, we human females have been duped & are stuck with such ungrateful males. I wonder if the stag beetle female would share her massaging, energizer male with me XD. Anyways I bet after that camera went off the male mated again. Thank u for sharing this video.

  • @jxz107 Thanks^^ Keep up your good work :D

  • @Peterkim981 As you can see from my other vids and 충우posts, I also kept some salamanders(hynobius leechii) for a few months before rereleasing them back into the wild. To be honest, the only salamanders that catch my eye these days are tigers, fire sals, and occasionally axolotls, red spotteds, and fire bellies...

There are many articles on how to make your own incubator online.

Sorry to hear about the rhino eggs. : ( hope you get a ton of fertile ones next time!

  • @jxz107 When I was in Ohio I did have a dozen salamanders but I sold them all....I am planing to let my leos mate next year. I'm kinda worried about incubating the eggs because I am a starter, and once again my rhino beetle eggs were ALL slugs...

  • @Peterkim981 Oh... well, I actually was interested in starting a leo colony, or maybe buying some frogs, but the food types aren't diverse enough. As for snakes, much easier when it come to food, but the enclosures they have for sale are both ridiculously expensive and are horrible in quality. So either I can keep them in tubs(네오박스)or build my own, or have my enclosures made directly by the aquarium companies(expensive). : (

I used to own a ghost corn back in CA, but nothing here as of now.

  • @jxz107 But do you have a pet reptile, amphibian etc? I mean you won't be looking for a variety of worms for nothing.

  • @Peterkim981 Actually when I mean other foods, I mean wingless fruit flies, phoenix worms, hornworms, silkworms, waxworms, roaches, etc. I managed to find some foods similar to the ones above(here in Korea):

hoverfly larvae(동애등애 유충)to replace phoenix worms

flower beetle larvae(꽃무지 유충)to replace waxworms

    silkworms

    wingless fruit fly

I can't find hornworms, silkworms are always unavailable, and nobody sells roaches....

  • @jxz107 Yeah I meant 90,000 won ^^;;;;;; sorry about that....and what do you mean by "other" foods? Do you mean the calcium jelly thing? I really think that in Korea we don't get alot of stuff from the states, which kinda sucks...
