  • No source code? I am a student! Studying Kinect ... / regards, K

  • @oOoOmusic4lifeOoOo yes, totally possible, in fact the official Microsoft SDK gives advantages over the hacked Kinect SDK and OpenNI for doing this, such as tracking initialization; for this demo to start, you have to stand in a particular pose with hands up in front of the Kinect, whereas with the Microsoft SDK, you don't have to because it picks you up as soon as you get close enough to the Kinect...

  • Cool drum beat!

  • Good luck with future development. Stuff like this has a future.

  • @proantix I did a quick Drumstick test; unfortunately, it appears to mess up the point tracking. The point appears to "slide" between the drum stick and my hand and causes the hit targeting to malfunction. I didn't try very hard to fix it though; I was mainly motivated to make beats by pumping my fist in the air!

  • Very cool, can't wait to try it out. Could the kinect ever recognise drumsticks?
