  • This is one of the most beautiful songs about the love of someone, the loss of someone, and the pain and anger you go through when you experience their death with them...Johnette's voice is perfect for driving every point home, but expressing all the love and pain. I just can't tell you how much this songs means to me...I cry every time I hear it, and I smile too.

  • I love this song song so much...I don't think I know anyone with that dreaded disease..."thank Zeus" but I am totallyinto this song... and what it means

  • This has been one of my absolute favorite songs for a long time now (especially the live version - the explanation at the beginning) Amazing on both Andy's and Concrete Blond's parts.

  • It's not just about AIDS...Please, he said so much more. Get out of your box!

  • This is my favorite recording of the song, the one I first heard 13 years ago as a college freshman. So far as songs go, I've always felt that it was one of the most powerful and unforgettable I have ever heard. I could never forget it, or every word of the lyrics.

  • when i first heard this song, one of my friends had just been diagnosed with AIDS. naturally i cried, but johnette's voice helped with everything in my life at that time, more than ever. she still does...she's the epitomy of everything and everyone rolled into one sexy woman with a kick arse voice!!!!

  • Why do people listen to shit like Justin Bieber and Lil Wayne when songs like this exist?

  • I have always been under the impression the song is about a friend of Johnettes' and Andy Prieboy (Wall of Voodoo) who wrote it who had AIDS and committed suicide. Reinforced recently at a show in Perth when she asked if anyone knew of young people contemplating suicide or in trouble to help them out.

  • I like this version.

  • @nervouswreck75

Well jesus I just asked. Didn't mean to rile up the jackasses.

  • @kmacmuzikmafia27 um, do you really need lyrics. I can understand her just fine. :-/
