  • @HigherPlanes I had the same problem - changed my format from avi to mov - everything worked fine. I am running on Ubuntu.

  • If I remember correctly 8mm film ran at about 16 fps, so I wouldn't go below that.

  • Hey guys can anyone please tell me why I can't get any of my audio files to play? I get no sound at all. Actually nothing happens. The file loads but I hit the play button and nothing. Any help is appreciated! Thanks. I'm running ubuntu cinelerra version 2.1.5cv

  • film is 24 fps, 25 fps is PAL region.

  • @bigtymeproductions12 If you use Blender (and its composite Nodes ), Kdenlive and Avidemux you can get excellent quality.

    cheers

    William

  • @bigtymeproductions12 I had the same problem than you, I had this problem when I downloaded the last version from akira repos.

What I did I installed a previous post from Akira ( 2009 ) which I had in my hard drive, and its works perfectly without any delay.

I have checked this issue on google and a lot f people complained about this.

Kdenlive it is a very good video Editor, Blender it is good , for post process Avidemux ( mp4 and all its denoise and filters ) ,it is like TMPEG-Encoder,

    Cheers

  • Cinelerra is not bad to use as video Editor, but I am not happy with its render farm, the higest quality is when I use Quick time for Linux, Yuv 4:2:0 Planar.

if I work in HD ( 1080 )I can not get 16:9 Aspect Ratio, but I can get it if I use hd1280.

After getting my final movie in mov file it must be re-transcoded using ffmpeg or mencoder.

As final result I get a video but with loss in quality.

Does anyone knows which one is the best way to don;t loose quality with Cinelerra??

    Cheers, William

  • please help me... when i import .mpg the audio and video are out of sync what do i do?

  • bery nice demonstration,. I like! you like! My name is Borat? Who is your sister?

  • Boy....i have no clue how much to thank you. I am a linux enthusiast and always had cinelera but without a clue on what it is and how to use it. You really made my linux days even more happier and merrier. Please bring more of this. Don't let this channel die.
